Opinions
The packaging for the Minx Discretion Waterproof Mini Black Vibrator was minimal, just a small box, which is to my liking. It’s also very easy to get into as the card is quite flimsy.
The toy isn’t something I’d normally go for. Nowadays, I’m more of a bigger toy type of gal with all the bells and whistles, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Minx Discretion Waterproof Mini Black Vibrator. One thing I really like is the design. I like that it’s not a straight up and down and that there’s a dip in the bullet. This gives a nice change when rubbing it over yourself.
Whilst there might not be multiple settings, the one vibration setting it does have packs a nice punch. It’s soft, buzzy, and not too overpowering.

- Non-toxic: The Minx Discretion Waterproof Mini Black Vibrator is made from ABS plastic, which makes its body safe. I did have to double-check if the black part was plastic, but it is – just feels like a different sort to the handle. I don’t recommend biting it to find out though – you might accidentally turn it on whilst holding it, and send vibrations all through your mouth. Not fun.
- Small: Discretion is in the name, and it certainly is discrete. The only problem with the size is that you might accidentally lose it, especially if you have a lot of black sex toys. Honour does offer a lilac version, so if you’re a fan of brighter colours, or you fear it might get lost, that might be your best option.
- Strong Vibrations: For something so small, the vibrations are powerful. The Minx Discretion Waterproof Mini Black Vibrator takes 1 AA battery, and I’m surprised at the power it gives out. It’s a pleasant sort of vibration, just the right kind of buzz. A plus, the vibrations stay in the tips of your fingers! I’ve found they don’t travel down my fingers, so I can actually handle this vibrator.
- Waterproof: I firmly believe that electronics do not belong in the water, however, because the cost of the item is reasonable the Minx Discretion Waterproof Mini Black Vibrator went for a swim! It worked! It has a rubber band around the thread that makes it watertight – so whatever you don’t remove it! Word of caution, only turn it off (loosen it) out of the water, when dry. This makes it a bit of a pain, but it will mean that your toy lives another day.
Negatives of the Minx Discretion Waterproof Mini Black Vibrator
- One Setting: If you respond better to patterns or prefer to control the vibrations, this is not a toy for you. The Minx Discretion Waterproof Mini Black Vibrator only has one vibration setting which you activate by essentially tightening the toy.
- Liable to break: If you have a look around on the internet (something I encourage everyone to do before purchasing sex toys), you’ll find that on Amazon there are a number of reviews that call the toy faulty. Now, that wasn’t my experience, but it’s good to take note. Of course, any toy you receive can be found faulty, and a lot of the time it’s the luck of the draw.
- Twist to Function: This is the main grip about this toy. To start the vibe you need to twist it tight. To stop the vibe you have to loosen it. Sometimes you might think that you’ve broken the toy if this happens you probably need to twist it tighter. I’ve been experimenting, and it definitely hurts my wrists. Since it is a waterproof vibe, it makes sense that the cap must be tight, but that doesn’t help things if your wrists aren’t the best.
Accessibility
From an accessibility point of view, the Minx Discretion Waterproof Mini Black Vibrator leaves me with mixed feelings. The pros are that it’s cheap, waterproof, and powerful, and the cons are that it’s really quite difficult to open, needs batteries, and according to reviews is liable to break.
Conclusion
It’s a dinky little thing that packs a lot of power. If you’re looking for a decent basic bullet vibrator, this is a pretty good model. I would recommend spending a few more pounds on this one, than a cheaper one with small circular disc batteries, as from my bullet vibe experience, they are way more temperamental. If you find twisting motions difficult, I’d give this one a pass.
